About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Early Years Specialist to join our team of Allied Health professionals, Social Workers, and Inclusive Education specialists in Yass Valley. As an Early Years Intervention Professional, you will be responsible for delivering supports to families in partnership with them to achieve their goals using evidence-informed best practices.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver tailored support options to children and families based on assessments, observations, and child development knowledge
  • Empower families, caregivers, and professionals by coaching them to build skills and confidence in supporting children in their daily lives
  • Connect children and families with their community to ensure they are included and can participate in settings and activities they choose
  • Maintain thorough records of conversations, developmental progress, and goals in the NDIA business system
  • Guide families through the application, implementation, and funding processes of NDIS plans

Requirements

  • Tertiary qualification in Early Childhood/ Education
  • Expert knowledge in child development and ability to identify developmental issues
  • Proven track record supporting families and children with developmental delays/disabilities, including implementing effective strategies for families to practice at home and other settings
  • Comprehensive knowledge of the NDIS Early Childhood Approach and early childhood intervention best practice principles and the National Disability Insurance Scheme
