About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Employee Experience Manager to join our HR and Marketing team in Sydney. In this diverse role, you will lead a passionate team responsible for delivering a great employee experience, bringing fun to our teams across our APAC offices, and providing services to our staff.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide overarching direction to the employee experience and services team, guiding and consulting on team strategy, planning, and execution of events, front desk administration, and amenities.
  • Oversee budgeting and deliver reports on the impact and effectiveness of events and services offerings.
  • Foster relationships with employees across all offices to meet their needs and preferences and embed SIG's culture.
  • Keep up-to-date with industry trends to introduce innovative concepts to the employee experience.
  • Work with local and global benefits teams to identify the best benefits and perks for the Sydney and APAC offices.

Event Management

You will oversee and provide support to our Employee Experience Partner in managing event responsibilities, including:

  • Organizing and implementing SIG's signature events, ensuring they are impactful and reflective of our high standards and culture.
  • Sourcing and securing venues, coordinating transportation, and managing catering services to create memorable events.
  • Working in partnership with internal stakeholders to define objectives, attendees, and budget, maintaining clear communication throughout the event planning process.
  • Handling all event logistics, from initial planning and communication to registration, on-site coordination, and post-event follow-up.
  • Attending events to manage all aspects of setup, execution, and breakdown, resolving any issues that arise, and ensuring a seamless and enjoyable experience for all participants.
  • Managing, designing, and planning SIG's events calendar.
  • Creating, managing, and reviewing budgets for all events.

Front Desk, Services, and Catering

You will oversee and provide support to our Front Desk and Employee Services team in managing responsibilities, including:

  • Managing front desk duties, including greeting guests, answering phones, mail room sorting, and meeting room setup and pack down.
  • Managing facilities and amenities, such as cleaning and bin services, or maintenance of coffee machines and water filters.
  • Coordinating and completing administrative tasks, such as expenses, maintaining stationery supplies, booking couriers, and new starter packs for employees.
  • Coordinating and supporting travel management and international visitors.
  • Managing smaller-scale employee service and experience initiatives, such as years of service recognition, staff gifting, team events, and dinners.
  • Ensuring the smooth operation of kitchen activities, upholding stringent standards of cleanliness, efficiency, and safety.
  • Meeting the dietary preferences and needs of employees by providing a range of nutritious and enticing breakfast, lunch, and snack choices.
  • Actively seeking and assessing employee feedback to continually refine food selections.
  • Conducting responsible stock management, including inventory oversight, procurement, and waste reduction.
  • Formulating and overseeing the catering budget, balancing cost-efficiency with the maintenance of high-quality standards.
  • Building and maintaining relationships with vendors, suppliers, and culinary experts to improve our dining options.

Requirements

  • An engaged, results-oriented achiever with a focus on driving projects to successful completion.
  • A consultative people manager.
  • Ability to manage multiple events and timelines simultaneously.
  • Excellent attention to detail, organizational, and time management skills/abilities.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving skills and strong communication skills, particularly writing.
  • Experience with negotiation for vendor relationships.
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively and build effective work relationships with all levels within the organization.
  • Ability and flexibility to attend events.
  • Bachelor's degree in a related discipline or equivalent experience.
