About the Role:
The Events and Content Coordinator sits within the Professional Education Projects & Programs (PEPP) team within the Faculty of Law & Justice, and provides specialist support to the Centre for the Future of the Legal Profession (CFLP).
The role has two primary functions:
- Supporting the planning, coordinating and delivery of key events and educational activities;
- Providing communications-based support and output for the Centre's website, social media channels and other appropriate platforms.
The position has a particular focus on identifying greater opportunities for engagement with communities, industry partners and policymakers and executing strategies for increasing the impact and reach of the centre through the promotion of the Centre's activities and maintaining strategic internal and external stakeholder relationships.
Key Responsibilities:
- Implement the agreed events/programs plan for CFLP, working with Manager PEPP and CFLP academic team to determine the right mix of strategic events, and to scope, design and develop successful event concepts to meet agreed goals.
- Coordinate and deliver all aspects of the event management lifecycle for agreed events.
- Apply agreed event platforms, processes and adhere to agreed brand and event policies in implementing your workplan for the year.
- Promote brand advocacy and drive positive brand positioning through all CFLP events/programs.
- Collaborate with the Manager PEPP, and PEPP team to ensure the timely production of event/marketing/promotional collateral.
- Manage and escalate issues relating to event concept design, planning and/or delivery.
- Analyse the performance of marketing, communications and digital engagement activities.
- Contribute to the creation, coordination, and curation of all content for the team, across channels, taking direction from the Manager of PEPP and the CFLP academic team. Content covers a range of formats and is targeted at various audiences to achieve specific goals, including audio visual, website, and social media.
Requirements:
- Relevant tertiary qualification with subsequent relevant experience or equivalent competence gained through any combination of education, training and experience.
- Demonstrated experience in event planning, management, promotion and delivery.
- Knowledge of best practice digital content including analytics and SEO.
- Proven capacity to develop and implement media and broader communications strategies.
- Experience in social media channel management and measurement.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a high level of attention to detail for deliverables produced.
- Demonstrated success working effectively and collaboratively on initiatives with a range of people at different levels within an organisation.
- Excellent time management skills, with a demonstrated ability to respond to changing priorities, manage multiple tasks and meet competing deadlines.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively and productively within a team, but also to take initiative and work independently while managing competing demands.
