Job Title: Support Service Specialist

About the Role:

You will be responsible for providing quality personal, social and emotional care and support to residents in accordance with established standards. You will play a crucial role in a resident's overall wellbeing.

Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Facilitating wellbeing through an individualised lifestyle and wellbeing program
  • Personal Care: Assisting with activities of daily living such as assisting with meals & drinks, toileting, and grooming, including maintaining the dignity and privacy of each resident.
  • Mobility support: Helping seniors with walking, using mobility aids, or transferring between different positions.
  • Monitoring health: Observing and reporting any changes in the resident's health or behavior.
  • Meal Assist: Supporting residents with their dietary requirements ensuring they receive the food they need and assisting them in the process of eating.
  • Maintaining records: Keeping accurate records of care provided, observations, and any changes in the resident's condition.
  • Collaboration with healthcare professionals: Working in collaboration with nurses, doctors, and other healthcare professionals to ensure the best possible care for our residents.

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • Cert III Individual Support (Ageing) or equivalent
  • Adaptable, passionate and willingness to learn
  • Collaborative and skilled at teamwork
  • Friendly and effective communication abilities
