Civil engineers play a pivotal role in designing, building, and maintaining the physical infrastructure of our communities. As an experienced civil engineer, you will apply your expertise to a wide range of projects, working on diverse tasks that offer valuable experience.
Key Responsibilities:- Perform design and project management tasks for land development and infrastructure projects from initiation through to construction.
- Preparation and update of civil engineering documentation, including design reports, cost estimates, specifications, tender documentation, programs, and schedules.
- Apply civil engineering knowledge to various works, including engineering drawings, calculations, reports, and design criteria to support engineering projects related to land development and infrastructure.
- Perform site supervision and quality control inspections of civil infrastructure and land development projects, adhering to design specifications, safety protocols, and Local/State Government standards.
- Assist in reviewing engineering drawings and submittals, responding to requests for information, preparing site observation reports, and performing other contract administration tasks.
- Bachelor's degree in civil engineering.
- Minimum 4 years of working experience in civil engineering, project management, and/or site supervision of land development and civil infrastructure projects.
- Engineers Australia Membership or eligibility.
- Demonstrated knowledge and experience in interpreting and applying relevant legislation, standards, and guidelines.
- Strong technical expertise and ability to produce accurate design documentation.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proven experience in time management and organisational skills, including managing resources and delegating tasks effectively.
- Ongoing commitment to professional development through self-study, training, and seminars, and maintaining Continual Professional Development (CPD).
