Job Title

The Department of Health is seeking highly skilled professionals to fill a challenging role in the North of Tasmania. This position requires applicants to possess extensive knowledge and experience in complex case management, assessment, counseling, and/or therapy, as well as strong mental health or related sector expertise.

As an Allied Health Professional, you will be working within a dynamic and well-supported multidisciplinary team environment to provide high-quality developmentally appropriate treatment for young people and their families.

  • Key responsibilities include undertaking clinical services through provision of complex case management, assessment, and individual therapies, including the development and implementation of specialized treatment programs.
  • Working alongside innovative team leaders and consultant psychiatrists to develop new youth mental health services in Tasmania.
  • Leading and collaborating with a diverse group of clinicians as part of a collaborative multidisciplinary team, providing support and consultation to other team members as required.

Applicants with postgraduate experience in mental health in relation to CAMHS, and a minimum of 3 years current postgraduate experience in child, adolescent, and/or youth mental health or relevant fields, are highly regarded. Current Working with Children Registration and registration/licenses that are essential requirements of this role must remain current and valid at all times.

Requirements

The following criteria are mandatory:

  • Approved allied health professional tertiary qualification/program of study and registered with the relevant National Board or full membership/eligible for membership with the relevant professional association.
  • Current Working with Children Registration.
  • Registration/licenses that are essential requirements of this role must remain current and valid at all times while employed in this role and the status of these may be checked at any time during employment.

The following criteria are desirable:

  • Postgraduate experience in mental health in relation to CAMHS.
  • A minimum of 3 years current postgraduate experience in child, adolescent, and/or youth mental health or relevant fields.
  • Current Driver's License.
Benefits

Successful applicants will have access to salary packaging benefits, including living expenses up to $9,010 + $2,650 in meal entertainment each FBT year, as well as travel and relocation assistance support available up to $15,000 for eligible appointees from overseas, and up to $10,000 for appointees from interstate.
