Senior Trade Measurement Officer

A senior trade measurement officer is a crucial role within an organization, accountable for delivering high-quality outcomes from trade measurement services.
About the Role:- This position involves leading and mentoring trade measurement staff to ensure they are equipped with the necessary skills to deliver exceptional results.
- The officer will establish local inspection priorities to meet compliance targets provided by the organization's workplan.
- They will plan, implement, monitor, and report on compliance programs by coordinating and conducting inspections of traders, packing houses, and licensees to assess compliance with trade measurement legislation.
- Complex or highly sensitive breaches of trade measurement legislation will be investigated, and briefs prepared for enforcement actions as required.
- The officer will educate stakeholders, including licensees and measuring instrument operators, to promote understanding and adherence to trade measurement regulations.
- They will assist in the development and implementation of proactive compliance strategies, plans, and initiatives in line with the organization's workplan.
- Supervising the professional development and mentoring of staff is also a key aspect of this role.
Key Responsibilities:
- Liaise with regional management, licensees, equipment owners/suppliers, and manufacturers to provide high-level technical advice.
- Develop and implement training programs to educate stakeholders on trade measurement practices and procedures.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to investigate complex issues.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise with various stakeholders.
