We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced trade measurement professional to join our team as a Senior Trade Measurement Officer. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated and results-driven individual to take on a challenging role that will provide opportunities for growth and development.
Key Responsibilities:- To lead and mentor trade measurement staff in delivering quality outcomes from trade measurement services functions of NMI.
- To establish local inspection priorities to meet the compliance targets provided by the National Workplan.
- To plan, implement, monitor, and report on the centre's compliance programs by coordinating and conducting inspections of traders, packing houses, and licensees to assess compliance with trade measurement legislation.
- To negotiate, liaise, and provide high-level technical/specialist advice to internal and external stakeholders, including regional management, licensees, equipment owners/suppliers, and manufacturers, as required.
- Certificate IV in Government (Trade Measurement) or greater.
- Certificate IV in Government (Investigations) or equivalent.
- A qualification that demonstrates appropriate knowledge or experience to be appointed as a Trade Measurement Inspector under section 18MA of the National Measurement Act 1960.
