Leading Financial Expert Wanted
Trial Balance Consulting is delighted to have been reengaged by a long-standing client, a highly successful and rapidly growing specialist services business with multiple income streams. The company boasts an excellent track record of employee retention and development, prioritizing their people's needs above all else.
The role of Financial Controller is a broad opportunity for an analytically focused and outgoing accountant who enjoys producing detailed financial performance reports. As a full-time, permanent contract, the successful candidate will benefit from a flexible working schedule and generous hybrid working arrangement.
Working closely alongside a highly experienced Finance Director, the Financial Controller will hold a pivotal position in a mid-sized finance team, enjoying a particularly broad role. Key responsibilities include:
- Managing day-to-day financial operations and controls, ensuring transactions are correctly posted to digital accounting platforms.
- Playing a key role in monitoring, analysing, and reporting on cashflow positions and external projects.
- Producing high-quality management information and financial reports with commentary for senior management teams and investors.
- Ensuring compliant and timely financial reporting standards are upheld.
- Working closely with the Finance Director on new and ongoing accounting projects.
- Maintaining relevant project documentation and contracts.
- Performing company secretarial duties as required.
- Assisting in year-end procedures and annual audit.
We seek a confident and detail-oriented individual ideally operating at FC/FM level or as a senior Management/Financial Accountant with a passion for high-quality reporting. A professional qualification (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) is desirable, as well as experience of managing a small team, influencing department heads outside of finance, and possessing a good range of IT competencies.
