We are seeking a contemporary leader to drive financial strategy and operational excellence across a large health service in alignment with State Government policies.

This is an exciting opportunity to lead the strategic management of financial services, driving sustainability and performance. You will balance data-driven decision-making and governance requirements with supporting evolving service needs.

You will lead a capable and committed team with oversight of accounting policy, legislative compliance, budgeting, and reporting cycles, as well as major reform initiatives.

Your ability to engage with corporate services, clinical, and executive teams to solve complex problems across business and financial domains will be key to success.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure compliance with relevant financial legislative frameworks.
  • Manage the preparation of monthly and annual financial statements and reports.
  • Maintain oversight of capital project accounting and private patient revenue.
  • Build and sustain strong working relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Contribute to statewide budget process and broader health system funding discussions.
  • Lead engagement with external and internal audit bodies.
  • Support the development of financial policies and procedures.
  • Champion a high-performance culture through staff development and empowerment.

This role requires a hands-on, forward-thinking leader with sound accounting experience from a similarly large and complex organisation.
