Job SummaryWe are seeking dedicated and compassionate Disability Support Care Specialists to join our team. As a specialist in this role, you will provide personalized care and support to individuals with varying disabilities, ensuring their safety, well-being, and empowerment.
Key Responsibilities- Provide direct care and support to individuals with varying disabilities, promoting their independence and autonomy.
- Assist with daily living activities, including personal care, meal preparation, and household tasks, while maintaining a safe and hygienic environment.
- Support individuals in attending medical appointments, accessing community resources, social inclusion, and wellbeing activities, enhancing their overall quality of life.
- Foster a safe and inclusive environment for all individuals, promoting respect and dignity.
- Monitor and document client progress and care provided, utilizing data to inform and improve service delivery.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals, therapists, and other team members to ensure holistic care, prioritizing the unique needs of each individual.
- A passion for supporting and empowering individuals with disabilities, demonstrating a commitment to inclusivity and diversity.
- Previous experience working with individuals with disabilities (not essential), with a willingness to learn and grow in this field.
- Relevant qualifications in disability support, healthcare, or a related field are desirable, but not mandatory.
- A valid driver's license and reliable transportation, ensuring timely and efficient delivery of care services.
- The flexibility to work shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, accommodating the diverse needs of our clients.
- The ability to use and access a smartphone for clocking in/out and shift notes, staying connected and organized throughout the workday.
- A Blue Card for Working with Children, NDIS Worker Screening, CPR Certificate, and a valid unrestricted driver's license must be held prior to commencement in this role.
