About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Survey Technician to contribute to our extensive civil and road construction initiatives in the Northern Territory. This position involves working in challenging environments, often in remote areas.

Position Overview

The successful candidate will report directly to the Project Manager and will be responsible for various surveying tasks essential for project execution.

Key Duties

The responsibilities include:

  • Analyzing project plans and executing site markings;
  • Transforming designs for application on survey rovers and machine control systems;
  • Collaborating with machine control teams to enhance accuracy and efficiency;
  • Conducting regular surveys to ensure compliance with project specifications;
  • Performing as-built surveys for project completion and verification;
  • Delivering precise survey data for monthly reporting;
  • Generating clear and detailed technical documentation;
  • Gathering, interpreting, and evaluating survey data as necessary;
  • Managing project-related administrative tasks as needed.
Essential Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A recognized qualification in Surveying, such as Cert IV or higher;
  • Experience in a comparable role within the Civil or Mining sectors;
  • Familiarity with relevant software and tools, including AutoCad 3D Civil and Surpac;
  • Proficiency with GPS technology, Trimble Total Station, and Trimble machine guidance;
  • The capability to operate in remote settings under FIFO/DIDO arrangements;
  • A valid driver's license.
