Electrical Design Consultant
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Electrical Engineer to join as a Senior Consultant. As a key member of our sustainability and engineering services team, you will provide expert advice across electrical infrastructure, solar PV systems, energy storage, and sustainable design solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and approve electrical design documentation, grid connection applications, and contractor installations.
- Conduct inspections, signoffs, and manage compliance checks for electrical and solar PV systems.
- Undertake audits and energy assessments for commercial and industrial buildings to identify savings and improve efficiency.
- Develop and oversee energy management plans and upgrade projects for a diverse portfolio of assets.
- Engage directly with clients to provide solutions, drive energy savings, and uncover new business opportunities.
- Ensure technical excellence, quality assurance, and compliance across all deliverables.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering (or equivalent).
- Chartered status (CPEng) and NER registration.
- Professional affiliations and certifications (e.g., NABERS, Green Star, WELL AP) are highly desirable.
- 5+ years in the building services sector (consultancy or contractor experience preferred).
- Solid understanding of the National Construction Code of Australia.
- Proven success in energy audits, asset condition assessments, and solar/renewable projects.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate and lead in a multidisciplinary environment.
- Proficient in using AutoCAD to develop and modify electrical design and construction drawings.
