Clinical Nurse Specialist

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Clinical Nurse Specialist to join our team at Healthscope. As a key member of our ward leadership team, you will play a vital role in supporting the Nurse Unit Manager with staffing, coordination, and patient flow.
About the RoleThis is an exciting opportunity for a skilled and confident Clinical Nurse Specialist to lead and mentor our nursing team in delivering high-quality patient care in an acute medical oncology setting. You will work closely with our VMOs and other members of the health team to identify patient care needs, plan interventions, and review outcomes of care.
You will be responsible for:
- Leading and mentoring our nursing team to deliver excellent clinical practice
- Coordinating and monitoring the planning, implementation, and evaluation of service outcomes and nursing care standards
- Working closely with our VMOs and other members of the health team to identify patient care needs and plan interventions
- Maintaining accurate and legally appropriate documentation of nursing services
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Current unrestricted AHPRA registration
- Minimum 3 years demonstrated experience working within an acute medical oncology setting, with experience in antineoplastic therapies
- Relevant Post graduate qualifications or working towards is required
- Completion of ADAC modules for chemotherapy administration
- Experience and a comprehensive clinical knowledge, particularly to oncology related health issues with a proven ability to assess, plan, coordinate, and evaluate care delivery needs of patients
