We are seeking a dedicated and passionate individual to lead our Aboriginal Health Research Team. As a champion of Indigenous research methods, you will be responsible for building and mentoring the team.


Job Description

This role is focused on delivering impactful research that drives positive change for Aboriginal communities. You will work closely with communities, ACCHOs, and universities to design and implement projects that meet community priorities.

  • Lead the development of research projects in collaboration with Aboriginal communities, ACCHOs, and universities.
  • Champion Indigenous research methods and ensure that research outcomes are shared in culturally appropriate ways.
  • Build and mentor the Aboriginal research workforce, providing guidance and support to help them achieve their goals.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A strong understanding of Aboriginal health issues and research methods.
  • Excellent leadership and mentoring skills, with the ability to build and manage a high-performing team.
  • Experience working with Aboriginal communities and ACCHOs, with a strong understanding of cultural protocols and sensitivities.
  • Strong communication and project management skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with multiple stakeholders.
