Join us for a challenging role as a Mechanical Training Instructor at a leading defence industry organization.

As a skilled trade trainer, you will play a vital part in supporting workforce capability through hands-on instruction, assessment and mentoring in a dynamic and safety-focused environment.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Delivering technical training packages to apprentices and tradespeople
  • Developing and maintaining training plans, packages and supporting documentation
  • Supervising and mentoring training groups and individuals
  • Drafting apprentice progress reports and contributing to skills development evaluations

Requirements:

  • Relevant trade certification
  • Certificate IV in Training and Assessment preferable
  • Minimum 10 years of trade experience, ideally in heavy engineering or shipbuilding
  • Strong communication and report writing skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and experienced in managing technical documentation
  • Demonstrated integrity, accountability and initiative
