Procedural Geometry Generation Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Visual Effects Software Developer to join our core team based in Sydney. The role involves designing, developing and supporting tools and techniques in collaboration with artistic staff, focusing on procedural geometry generation/amplification, natural phenomena simulation, and creature effects.
- Develop and Support Tools and Techniques:
- Create and maintain software applications for visual effects production, particularly in the areas of procedural geometry and physical simulation.
- Collaborate with artists to integrate developed tools into established and new artist workflows.
This role requires experience working with procedural tools for fur/hair/feathers, cloth, vegetation, and stylized effects, as well as software development using C++ and relevant applications like Houdini and Maya.
Key Qualifications:
- Tertiary qualification in Computer Science or Engineering or Math/Geometry.
- 5 or more years of experience in a VFX/animation/game field.
- Working knowledge of UNIX/LINUX, APIs, and GPU programming.
