Health and Security Specialist

We are seeking a dedicated professional to support the safety and security of our staff, patients, and visitors at Blue Mountains District ANZAC Memorial Hospital.
This role plays a vital part in ensuring the smooth operation of our hospital by responding to incidents, de-escalating challenging situations, and collaborating closely with healthcare teams and NSW Police when needed.
You will provide essential support to frontline healthcare professionals by responding to alarms, supervising key areas, and carrying out duties that maintain our high standards of patient care. Your strong communication skills and calm approach will foster a secure atmosphere for all.

Your Key Responsibilities- A current NSW Security Industries License 1A, as per the Security Industry Act, 1997; nationally recognised current First Aid Certificate or Statement of Attainment from a Registered Training Organisation.
- Experience in the security industry as a Security Officer is desirable.
- Demonstrated skills to manage aggressive incidents, challenging behaviours, and respond to duress situations.
- Ability to work independently with minimal direct supervision, and effectively as a member of a team.
- Effective written and oral communication skills to communicate with all levels of staff, patients/clients, and members of the public.
