About the Role:

Allianz Australia is seeking a dynamic leader to shape and execute our sustainability strategy.

As the Environmental Sustainability Leader, you'll play a crucial role in integrating environmental and social considerations into AAL's business strategies and operations. You'll lead efforts to enhance environmental performance, climate resilience, and social impact, ensuring measurable positive outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

- Develop and execute AAL's sustainability strategy, aligning with overall strategy and vision.

- Ensure sustainability objectives are integrated into core business strategies and long-term planning.

- Drive initiatives to improve environmental performance and reduce waste.

- Lead social resilience and impact programs, aligning with Allianz values and supporting community engagement.

- Build strong relationships with stakeholders and represent AAL at sustainability forums.

- Ensure compliance with environmental and social regulations and manage ESG risks effectively.

- Develop performance indicators to measure success and report transparently to stakeholders.

Requirements:

- Significant experience in sustainability leadership, with a proven track record in developing environmental and social impact strategies.

- Strong expertise in climate change, ESG risk management, and corporate social responsibility.

- Experience leading cross-functional teams and working with diverse stakeholders.

- Knowledge of relevant sustainability frameworks, regulations, and best practices.

- Ability to navigate complexity and ambiguity, providing commercial solutions to meet stakeholder expectations.

- Demonstrated passion for creating long-term business value through sustainable initiatives.

- Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.
