Job Opportunity
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Consultant Obstetrician and Gynaecologist to join our team at Head Medical.
About the Role
The successful candidate will have overarching responsibility for patients attending the service under the specialty of Obstetrics and Gynaecology. You will be part of a clinical team overseeing all aspects of patient care, including outpatient attendance, admission and management, surgery and if required, transfer to other tertiary or multidisciplinary specialist referral facility.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate as part of a multidisciplinary team providing antenatal care, delivery and post-partum management.
- Oversee and participate in a continuity of care including outpatient management, procedural care including abdominal, vaginal and laparoscopic surgery in accord with credentialled capability.
- Work closely with junior doctors and an excellent team of Midwives to provide quality women centred maternity and neonatal care for women and their families during pregnancy, childbirth and the immediate post birth period.
Requirements
Applicants should be registered (or eligible for registration) as a specialist with the Medical Board of Australia and be a Fellow of the Australian and New Zealand College of Obstetrics and Gynaecology (FRANZCOG) or equivalent as an overseas trained specialist who has completed their training in either the UK, Ireland, Canada, USA (ABOG Certified) or New Zealand.
About the Location
This north-west Victoria regional city is set on the banks of the magnificent Murray River and has a population of around 80,000. Within an hour flying time to Melbourne and Adelaide, it has the perfect Mediterranean climate, with a high number of warm sunny days perfect for visiting the many cafes and restaurants or relaxing by the Murray River.
