Positive Behaviour Support Professional

About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) professional to lead our PBS department. The successful candidate will work with a progressive healthcare business, managing a team of health professionals providing services across allied health, community, aged care, disability/NDIS and more.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide strategic guidance, training and mentoring to other PBS practitioners
  • Conduct comprehensive positive behaviour support assessments and develop tailored plans
  • Deliver evidence-based interventions and assessments, behavioural counselling and support to clients with complex needs
  • Conduct functional, behavioural, psychometric and vocational assessments to inform service delivery
  • Collaborate with clients to achieve meaningful clinical outcomes, including reducing challenging behaviour and improving quality of life

Requirements:

  • Relevant tertiary qualification in Psychology, Social Work or a related field
  • Full registration with the relevant professional body
  • Assessed by NDIS or self-assessed as a PBS practitioner (any level) or willingness to upskill and become registered
  • Demonstrated experience in delivering positive behaviour support services and a sound knowledge of the NDIS framework
  • The ability to coach and develop PBS practitioners to achieve excellence
