**What do we do?**

Disability living (DLi) was established in 1984, providing long-term accommodation and support services for young adults with disabilities. Since then, we have expanded our services to cater for all ages offering In-home support, accommodation services, supported independent living and a variety of community inclusion services.

**What will you do?**

The Behavioural Support Practitioner role is responsible for making a significant contribution to enhancing the lives of individuals living with a disability. You will do this by promoting and encouraging skills development, independence and quality of life for people with a disability. You will achieve this by demonstrating professional, person-centred practice. Your key focus area relates to positive behaviour support planning, including functional behaviour analysis, development, implementation and training in positive and proactive strategies.

Your experience and knowledge working with individuals, their families, staff and other professionals will contribute to our person-centered approach. You will be pivotal in supporting clients to achieve their goals and aspirations. You will be highly motivated and person-centred, with a high level of self-awareness.

**Requirements of the position**
- Tertiary qualifications in Disability, Developmental Education, Psychology, Social Work, or equivalent degree
- Current NDIS Worker Screening
- Current Working with Children Check (WWCC)
- First Aid and CPR
- Current Australian Driver's License
- Child Safe Environments Through Your Eyes or Responding to Abuse and Neglect
- NDIS Quality, Safety and You Orientation Module
- Health Support Training
- An understanding of regulated restrictive practice
- Member of the DEAI (Developmental Educators Australia Incorporated) or an allied health professional body or association.
- Registration or willing to register with the NDIS Quality and Safeguarding Commission as a Behavioural Support Practitioner.
