Operations Manager Job Description

The Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing daily production operations within the steel fabrication and aluminum fabrication, ensuring output meets both quality and delivery requirements. This includes identifying bottlenecks and implementing process improvements to enhance production efficiency and throughput.

The Operations Manager will work closely with the Project Manager to ensure timely and quality execution of projects. Additionally, they will troubleshoot and resolve on-site technical issues, delays, or risks in coordination with site managers.

To be successful in this role, candidates must have a strong understanding of steel production processes, including fabrication, welding, and installation. They must also have hands-on experience with ERP systems and other operations management tools.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or Civil Engineering
  • Relevant certifications in Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, Project Management (PMP)
  • Minimum of 5+ years of experience in operations management within the steel industry with a strong focus on steel production, erection, and project management
