Job Overview

The Australian Research Data Commons (ARDC) is a peak body for research data in Australia. Funded by the Commonwealth Government, ARDC aims to provide Australian researchers with a competitive advantage through data.

This role focuses on partnerships with custodians of public sector health data, as researchers heavily rely on this data for their research. The goal is to accelerate health research by streamlining access to federal, state, and local health area data.

ARDC partners with the research community and industry to build leading-edge digital research infrastructure, providing Australian researchers with a competitive advantage.

Key Responsibilities

  • Leading and managing all aspects of program lifecycle, including developing processes to ensure successful implementation within assigned resource allocations.
  • Providing oversight of program governance, defining project plans, milestones, deliverables, and timeframes for delivery of projects.
  • Identifying and managing interactions between programs across strategic pillars, undertaking high-level creative planning for cross-theme programs.
  • Maintaining and implementing program operations, day-to-day management of program team members, and provision of advice on efficient implementation.
  • Developing innovative solutions to problems, providing specialist advice to key stakeholders, and representing ARDC's interests externally.
  • Reviewing and evaluating risks, determining mitigation strategies to ensure program progress and outcomes.
