Job Description

Our organisation is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Risk Consultant to join our team. As a key member of our Governance, Risk and Controls Advisory group, you will be responsible for providing strategic risk consulting and internal audit services to our clients.

The role involves participating in the development of risk-based internal audit plans, executing internal audit procedures, and ensuring the successful delivery of internal audit projects within defined scope, timeframe, and budget.

You will also be required to provide guidance and support to risk consultants, offer advice on internal audit methodologies, techniques, and best practices, and collaborate with key stakeholders to ensure internal audit activities align with client goals and priorities.

In addition, you will prepare internal audit reports, including findings, risk, root cause, and recommendations, supporting the communication of results to key stakeholders.

Building and maintaining effective working relationships with key stakeholders and providing guidance on risk management and control related matters to clients are also essential aspects of this role.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Proven experience in internal audit, risk management, process improvement, and governance practices.
  • Excellent analytical and communication skills with the ability to communicate clearly with individuals across all levels of an organisation.
  • Extensive experience writing reports, observations, and communicating results and recommendations to varied audiences.
  • The ability to build and maintain effective relationships with colleagues, clients, and key stakeholders.
  • A commitment to enhancing team capabilities through the provision of guidance, support, and advice.
