Support Role Overview
We are dedicated to providing a supportive environment for individuals with complex trauma, challenging behaviors, and physical/clinical needs. Our goal is to empower people to live their lifestyle of choice through tailored support models.
We offer multiple positions at our Vertical Villages, including permanent part-time roles with guaranteed hours and casual positions with the opportunity to transition to permanent. This role is responsible for providing high-quality, responsive, and person-centered support to assist participants enhance their everyday living skills, gain access and participation in community to achieve their goals, enhance their quality of life and physical and mental health.
This role will work closely with external care teams and families to provide support with personal care, community access, and daily routines. You will be working in participants' homes or in our purpose-built Vertical Villages (SIL/SDA). The successful candidate will have experience managing complex needs including behaviours of concern, trauma, forensic backgrounds, and high clinical needs. They will also be responsible for administering medication and following detailed health support plans.
About You
- You will thrive and succeed in this role by bringing a minimum 6 months' experience in disability, aged care, mental health, or related fields. A Certificate III/IV/Diploma in Disability, Individual Support, Aged Care, or similar is preferred.
- Bachelor's in Nursing is highly desirable. You should have demonstrated experience with high physical and clinical needs, including medication administration. A strong understanding of professional boundaries, restrictive practices, and behaviour support is essential.
- Effective written and verbal communication, including clear case note writing, is required. You must be able to set priorities, meet deadlines, and work under pressure with minimal supervision. Strong interpersonal skills to work both autonomously and as part of a team are necessary.
- NDIS Worker Screening, First Aid, Driver's Licence, and insured vehicle are also required.
