Position Overview

Norton Rose Fulbright, a leading global law firm, is seeking a seasoned Finance Business Analyst to join our national Financial Planning & Analysis team. This pivotal role involves collaborating with various business units to deliver insightful commercial and strategic guidance to organizational leaders. You will also engage with our international Finance team to ensure alignment and consistency across our operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Engage directly in the formulation of precise and timely budgets and forecasts through consultations with senior management;
  • Assist in the analysis and finalization of budget preparations to ensure compliance with both local and global standards;
  • Manage the input and upkeep of annual expense budgets within the practice management system;
  • Conduct regular meetings with business leaders to provide valuable analysis and commentary on financial performance;
  • Support various teams by delivering a comprehensive understanding of financial and commercial performance indicators;
  • Provide detailed matter and client analysis to practice teams and track emerging trends;
  • Ensure the production of consistent, accurate, and insightful reporting and analysis that meets specified deadlines and client expectations;
  • Proactively identify and report on financial trends;
  • Deliver critical and thorough analysis to teams across the firm regarding their respective areas and expense reporting.

Qualifications

  • Proficient in interpreting financial data and conducting trend analysis;
  • Exceptional attention to detail along with strong analytical and conceptual abilities;
  • Solid financial acumen with a knack for devising innovative solutions to complex challenges;
  • Proven capability to manage multiple priorities and adhere to deadlines;
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
  • Ability to work autonomously as well as collaboratively within a team.
