Acquisition specialists play a vital role in media and entertainment. They are responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and managing the purchase of new content to add to an organization's existing slate.

This position involves analyzing financial data, conducting market research, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure programming needs are met within budget constraints.

The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, excellent communication abilities, and experience working in finance or a related field. Proficiency in Excel, financial modeling, and data analysis is also required.

About this role:

  • Manage acquisition budgets and provide financial analysis for a select group of content channels
  • Develop and maintain rolling budgets and forecasts across multiple content channels
  • Conduct month-end variance analysis and provide insights on financial performance
  • Oversee volume deals with key content partners and forecast delivery timelines

About your experience:

  • 2–3 years of experience in a finance-related role, ideally in content, media, or broadcasting
  • Intermediate to advanced Excel skills, including experience with financial modeling and data analysis
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial processes
  • Proven ability to work across multiple workstreams and meet tight deadlines
