Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Mechanical and Electrical Superintendent to lead a high-profile transport project in Melbourne. This is a 12-month maximum term, full-time position that requires strong leadership and technical expertise.

About the Role

  • Lead a team of supervisors and work crews to deliver the Burnley Tunnel Upgrade Project
  • Develop and implement safe work methodologies to minimize risks and ensure compliance with regulations
  • Coordinate access arrangements with external stakeholders to avoid delays and clashes
  • Liaise with electrical supervisors, crew members, and the HSEQ Manager to ensure quality, safety, and environmental standards are met
  • Collaborate with the Project Manager to optimize resource allocation and drive delivery efficiencies

Key Responsibilities

  1. Leadership and Guidance: Provide direction and support to supervisors and work crews to achieve project goals and objectives
  2. Safety Management: Develop and implement safe work practices to minimize risks and ensure compliance with regulations
  3. Access Arrangements: Coordinate access arrangements with external stakeholders to avoid delays and clashes
  4. Quality and Environmental Management: Liaise with electrical supervisors, crew members, and the HSEQ Manager to ensure quality, safety, and environmental standards are met
  5. Resource Allocation: Collaborate with the Project Manager to optimize resource allocation and drive delivery efficiencies

Requirements

  • Current electrical trade license
  • Relevant OH&S certifications
  • Strong knowledge of electrical and lighting systems
  • Demonstrated experience in a tunnel environment
  • Advanced problem-solving skills
  • Good communication skills with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels
