Senior Supervisor Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Supervisor to lead our team in delivering a large-scale joint venture project.

The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the project's success by assisting with the preparation and implementation of site management plans, conducting regular inspections to ensure workplace health and safety compliance, and managing electrical and mechanical crews across multiple work fronts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, coordinate, and supervise electrical and mechanical works to meet quality, environmental, and health and safety requirements.
  • Work closely with engineers to develop and deliver short-term programs, including resource allocation and sequencing of works.
  • Manage and coordinate electrical and mechanical crews, plant, and subcontractors across multiple work fronts.
  • Conduct effective team meetings, including pre-starts and toolbox talks, to communicate upcoming works and promote a safe working environment.
  • Complete daily reporting, including diaries, timesheets, and productivity records, and support project administration for claims and variations.

Requirements:

  • Significant experience delivering civil infrastructure construction projects, with demonstrated capability in mechanical and/or electrical works.
  • Significant experience managing large-scale civil construction activities across multiple trades/disciplines or as a technical specialist in a core trade/discipline.
  • Recognised skills in managing workplace health and safety and environmental legislative and procedural requirements.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills, with the ability to deliver engaging pre-starts and toolbox talks.
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings/specifications for all trades, including layout plans and schematic drawings.
