This role is ideal for a professional looking to take the next step in their accounting career, with proven experience supporting systems and process-driven projects.

The Project Accountant will be responsible for guiding users through systems, coordinating vendor activities, and ensuring smooth project delivery. This contract role will support the successful delivery of key operational and system initiatives across retail, operations, supply chain, and technology functions.

Responsibilities
  • Coordinate multiple projects across different business areas.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to define project scope, objectives, deliverables, and success criteria.
  • Engage with end users to understand current workflows, identify process gaps, and support the transition to improved systems and practices.
  • Support senior leaders and external vendors in evaluating, selecting, and managing third-party vendors and consultants.
  • Drive user requirements and process insights to support project planning and execution.
  • Deliver change management activities, including training materials, workshops, and go-live support.
  • Coordinate user acceptance testing (UAT) and track issues for prompt resolution.
  • Monitor project progress, identifying and mitigating risks, dependencies, and roadblocks.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • 3-4 years' experience in project or systems accounting.
  • Tertiary qualified in finance and accounting.
  • Strong exposure to system implementations, ideally across WMS, PLM, or ERP systems.
  • Confident in gathering information and understanding operational workflows.
  • Comfortable working with senior leaders and external vendors.
  • Clear communicator with strong stakeholder engagement skills.

The selected candidate will work closely with the executive team and be responsible for guiding users through systems, coordinating vendor activities, and ensuring smooth project delivery.
