Riverland Mallee Coorong Local Health Network

We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Social Worker to join our team in a rural generalist and palliative care role.

This is a unique opportunity to provide a comprehensive range of services to our local communities, making a tangible difference to the lives of individuals and families who need it most.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Apply clinical expertise to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate integrated care services.
  • Work closely with healthcare professionals and service providers to ensure the needs of the local rural or remote community are met.
  • Provide individual and group therapy, early intervention, preventative strategies, and facilitate a range of support services.
  • Contribute to the development of other allied health professionals, including mentoring students and less experienced staff.

Requirements:

  • A recognised qualification in Social Work and eligibility for full membership with the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW).
  • Demonstrated clinical experience in social work, particularly within a rural and/or palliative care context.
  • Experience working in multi-disciplinary teams and collaborating with various healthcare and community service providers.
  • Ability to plan, implement, and evaluate a range of services to meet client needs.
  • High-level communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work independently and manage complex cases.
