Rural Occupational Therapist Position

The Riverland Mallee Coorong Local Health Network is a dynamic healthcare provider serving over 70,000 people across regional South Australia.
We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Rural Occupational Therapist to join our team in the Riverland region.
This exciting opportunity will provide you with the chance to develop your skills and gain experience as a Rural Generalist while contributing to the delivery of high-quality health services to our vibrant community.
About the Role:
- This AHP1 position is part of the Early Career Program 2025, designed to support early-career occupational therapists in developing their skills and expertise.
- As a rural generalist, you will work closely with experienced clinicians to deliver comprehensive and integrated health services, including acute, community, rehabilitation, and aged care services.
- You will have opportunities to rotate through various clinical areas, including paediatrics, child health, and disability services, to develop your skills and build your professional network.
Key Responsibilities:
- To work as a member of a multidisciplinary team, providing occupation-based services to clients across the lifespan, including children, adults, and older adults.
- To assess client needs, develop and implement treatment plans, and evaluate outcomes to ensure effective service delivery.
- To participate in education and training activities to enhance your role and contribute to the development of the occupational therapy team.
Requirements:
- A recognised qualification in occupational therapy and eligibility for registration with the relevant professional association.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients, colleagues, and other stakeholders.
- A passion for rural health and a commitment to delivering high-quality services in a remote setting.
