Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Patient Liaison Officer to join our team. As a key member of our healthcare organization, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and support.

The successful candidate will work closely with patients, families, clinical and administration teams across the Emergency Department (ED) and wards. Your primary focus will be on encouraging private and compensable admissions, classifying patients with eligible health funds or third-party cover in a timely and appropriate manner.

You will also identify insurance status for Medicare Ineligible Patients (Overseas Visitors) and collaborate with Revenue Services workstreams (Billing, Collections, Cashiers). Additionally, you will participate in continuous improvement projects and contribute to automation developments as a billing subject matter expert.
