Lead Quantitative Analyst

This role leads a team responsible for informing business planning, policy development and service reform by undertaking complex quantitative analyses.

The successful candidate will have experience in leading and managing high quality quantitative analysis and modelling to drive critical decision making, as well as knowledge and experience in statistics, econometrics, mathematics or a related discipline.

  • Develop models to better understand future service demand and supply issues
  • Produce short term and long-term projections of the demand population for various services
  • Analyse the impact of programs or initiatives on client outcomes
  • Analyse non-administrative datasets such as ABS Census or other survey data
  • Undertake predictive analytics

The team will work collaboratively across a range of stakeholders including other agencies, academics/researchers and other organisations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and lead project teams to undertake specialist statistical analysis and modelling projects
  • Develop and implement strategies to help build a policy evidence base
  • Liaise and work across divisions, agencies and stakeholders
