Job Title

A key position has opened up in the energy sector, offering an exciting opportunity to work on critical infrastructure projects.

This role provides a chance to contribute to the transition of the national electricity system to renewable energy sources.

The ideal candidate will have expertise in contract management and negotiation, with experience in drafting, reviewing, and advising on contracts for transmission infrastructure projects and grid connections.

They should also have strong commercial skills, including contract administration during project delivery and regulatory advice.

  • Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating contracts for transmission infrastructure projects and grid connections.
  • Providing legal assistance on contract administration during project delivery.
  • Supporting key deals valued at $50-$100 million per year with transactional expertise.
  • Advising on regulatory implications, particularly The National Electricity Laws and Rules.

Requirements

  • Admitted to practice in Australia or New Zealand.
  • Minimum 5 years PAE experience, including projects from private practice and/or inhouse.
  • Prior regulatory advice experience is highly advantageous.
  • Strong commercial drafting, reviewing, and negotiating skills.
