Critical Care Specialist

We are seeking highly skilled Medical Officers to join our dynamic team as a Full Time or Part Time Consultant.
- This role involves providing vital support to rural and remote communities, working with patients from the moment they call for help until they receive the best care possible.
No two days or two patients will be the same. Our versatile rotations include:
- Rotating training programs at our bases;
- local rural hospitals; and
- providing telehealth services.
We require Medical Officers who possess:
- A minimum of 5 years post-graduate experience;
- Advanced trainee level from one of the following colleges: CICM, ACEM, ANZCA, ACRRM (with JCCA/DRGA) - equivalent colleges from eligible overseas applicants also considered;
- Completed a minimum total of 18 months critical care time (ED and ICU) and 6 months anaesthetics;
- Experience in managing critically ill patients including trauma;
- Ideal candidates will have completed ALS, APLS, ATLS (or equivalent);
- Recency of practice in a critical care environment.
This role offers:
- A base salary of $203K inclusive of 20% shift worker loading;
- Housing allowance valued at $30,000 per year or RFDS provided housing for full-time employees;
- Five weeks of annual leave;
- Relocation assistance;
