
Support Families Specialist

We are seeking a skilled professional to join our team as a Support Families Specialist. In this role, you will have the opportunity to make a real impact in the lives of families and individuals.
Job Description:
- As a Support Families Specialist, you will work closely with families, listening to their stories and providing guidance and support when needed.
- You will conduct risk assessments and develop safety plans to ensure the well-being and stability of families.
- Your role will involve working with adults who have used family violence, addressing complex issues and helping them to change their behavior.
- You will also provide secondary consultation and expert advice to keep perpetrators accountable and in view.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- A Bachelor of Social Work or equivalent qualification is preferred.
- Alternatively, 5 years of relevant professional experience and a willingness to undertake further study to gain an equivalent qualification by June 2026 is acceptable.
- Significant cultural knowledge and experience, having faced barriers to educational pathways and a willingness to meet minimum or equivalent qualification within 10 years may also be considered.
- A current driver's license is required.
