We are seeking an accomplished Financial Professional to join our organization. In this role, you will play a vital part in providing expert financial accounting services, reports, advice and support to ensure the organization is compliant with accounting standards and Treasury guidelines.

Key responsibilities include:

  1. Assisting in the preparation of interim and annual statutory financial statements to ensure accuracy of information and on-time submission.
  2. Collaborating with shared services providers to guarantee timely and accurate provision of shared services.
  3. Managing and preparing required reporting for the BU monthly result.
  4. Ensuring corporate cost recoveries are accurately accounted for and submitted on time.
  5. Maintaining and ensuring compliance with MV fleet process and contractor central processes on a monthly basis.
  6. Correctly accounting for and disclosing revenues (grants and contributions); including revenues of an administered nature across the portfolio.
  7. Providing input for reports, applying charts of accounts and financial key performance indicators (KPI's) to ensure compliance and improved performance.
  8. Monitoring, reviewing and analyzing financial systems and databases to generate reports that provide accurate advice and information for staff, customers, managers and/or external agencies.

To be successful in this role, you must demonstrate:

  • Technical financial accounting knowledge.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with stakeholders (internal and external).
  • Experience in statutory financial statements and note disclosures.
  • Experience in banking and cashflow management.
  • High attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
  • CA or CPA qualification.
