Job OpportunityWe are seeking a Principal Mechanical Engineer to join our Asset & Materials Management department. As a key member of our team, you will provide technical support and guidance to our engineering and operations teams, ensuring the efficient and safe operation of our fixed plant processing facilities, port, rail, dewatering, and mine and non-process infrastructure services.
Key Responsibilities- Provide technical support and guidance to our engineering and operations teams.
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with site engineering and operations leadership.
- Support the development and optimization of Fortescue's asset management process and framework.
- Lead and oversee Fortescue's engineering standards and technical documentation.
- Support with capital project independent and technical reviews.
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or similar.
- Experience in the mining or heavy industry sector is highly regarded.
- Demonstrated capacity to form positive connections and lead a team of engineers.
- Strong knowledge of Australian and Industry Standards, WHS Legislation, and Industry Best Practice.
