About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Rehabilitation Counsellor to join our team. As a Rehabilitation Counsellor, you will play a vital role in supporting clients on their journey to return to work and life after physical or psychological injury.

You will be responsible for providing initial assessments, psychometric testing, and brief interventions for job seekers with psychosocial and mental health barriers to employment. You will also conduct new employment vocational assessments, transferable skills analysis, recovery support, and case management for return to same employment.

In this role, you will assess and report on psychological functional capacities, complete psychological functional assessments, and make recommendations on the effects of mental health and medical conditions on ability to work. Additionally, you will write detailed case notes and reports, and work with veterans to support their psychosocial, medical, and RTW goals.

This is an exciting opportunity to provide Adjustment to Injury counselling and Vocational Counselling in-person and via phone to support clients' rehabilitation. You will work with adult clients from diverse backgrounds, including those with varying socioeconomic, educational, psychosocial, and nationality backgrounds.

What We're Looking For
  • A degree in Masters in Rehabilitation Counselling
  • Eligibility for ASORC or RCAA accreditation upon graduating
  • Graduated in the last 12 months or graduating in 2025
  • Agreement to a pre-employment national criminal check prior to employment
  • Full Australian working rights
  • A full drivers' license, own vehicle, and comprehensive insurance
