The role involves conducting occupational rehabilitation assessments, developing and implementing effective rehabilitation plans, designing and implementing intervention programs, and identifying barriers to maximal work participation. You will also need to understand various healthcare and rehabilitation funding schemes and empower your clients to achieve their goals.
Key responsibilities include:
- Conducting occupational rehabilitation assessments, including activities of daily living, home, worksite, functional, ergonomic, equipment assessments
- Developing and implementing effective rehabilitation plans based on the client's discipline
- Designing and implementing intervention programs using occupation to improve functional performance, independence, and work capacity
- Identifying barriers and designing, implementing, and monitoring programs that support people to achieve maximal work participation
- Understanding various healthcare and rehabilitation funding schemes and empowering clients to achieve their wellness and recovery goals
- Liaising with clients, family members, funding bodies, medical practitioners, employers, and stakeholders to achieve successful outcomes
Requirements for this role include:
- Tertiary qualification in Occupational Therapy, Exercise Physiology, Physiotherapy
- Registration with either AHPRA or ESSA
- Genuine desire to make a measurable impact in people's lives
- Strong communication skills and ability to build trust with clients and stakeholders
- Customer-first mindset with a focus on quality outcomes
- Confidence working independently in the community
- Driver's licence and vehicle required
- Eligibility for a working with children's check and police clearance
