Senior Data Engineer Role Overview

We are seeking a skilled Senior Data Engineer to join our data team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in designing and implementing complex data pipelines and infrastructure solutions.

This role involves developing scalable data ingestion pipelines for property data assets, establishing them as the authoritative source for all property-related decisions and lifecycle journeys across various products and business units within an ecosystem.

  • Lead the design, architecture, and end-to-end implementation of complex, high-performance, and scalable data pipelines and infrastructure solutions.
  • Design and implement effective data models and architect components of warehousing and lakehouse solutions to meet evolving business needs.
  • Establish and implement comprehensive quality frameworks and contribute to governance practices from an engineering perspective.
Requirements
  • 4+ years of proven experience as a Senior Data Engineer in commercial/business environments
  • Expert-level proficiency in SQL, with a deep understanding of advanced modeling, query optimization, and warehousing concepts
  • Hands-on experience architecting, building, and optimizing advanced solutions on a modern cloud platform (Snowflake or BigQuery is required)
Desirable Skills
  • Knowledge of the real estate industry and its challenges
  • Experience with streaming data frameworks and real-time processing
  • Understanding of Infrastructure as Code principles and experience with tools like CDK, CloudFormation, or Terraform
