This role provides medical support for a Joint Department of Defense Program in Alice Springs, enhancing patient well-being across diverse populations.
Key Responsibilities:- Deliver medical services during clinic hours and after hours as necessary, obtaining patients' health histories and performing physical examinations.
- Diagnose conditions and counsel patients on treatment plans, prescribing medications in accordance with state laws and professional guidelines.
- Maintain problem-oriented health records for each patient, adhering to Health Information Management policies.
- Ensure continuity of care by providing comprehensive medical services promptly, delivering excellent customer service to assist patients with healthcare needs.
- Arrange referrals for services not available on-site and review incoming reports (e.g., labs, x-rays, EKGs), sign, date, and follow up promptly.
- Assist in updating protocols and practices as needed and participate in outside medical public relations functions.
- Commit to ongoing learning and staying current with medical advancements, completing required organizational compliance training, including client-specific requirements for certifications.
