Maintenance Supervisor Job Description

At our organization, we are seeking a skilled Maintenance Supervisor to lead our remote civil and mining projects in the Northern Territory.

This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual with experience in supervisory or management roles to promote a safe and cost-effective maintenance culture.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Leverage your experience in supervisory or management roles to promote a safe and cost-effective maintenance culture.
  • Manage resources effectively to meet maintenance schedules and drive operational efficiencies.
  • Provide leadership and supervision through guidance, feedback, and presence, motivating team members towards common goals.
  • Conduct employee performance appraisals and develop improvement plans.
  • Resolve crew problems and conflicts, ensuring a positive work environment.
  • Perform servicing, repairs, and maintenance of mobile plant equipment, including fault finding and diagnostics to prevent breakdowns.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Heavy Diesel Fitter Trade qualification.
  • Current driver's license.
  • Experience with Caterpillar, Komatsu, Hitachi mobile equipment.
  • Understanding of civil/mining mobile plant and crushing operations.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and maintenance systems like MEX.
  • Strong planning, time management, and prioritization skills.
  • Effective communication skills for liaising with employees, clients, and suppliers.
