Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join our team as an Occupational Rehabilitation Specialist. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality occupational rehabilitation services to clients with a range of conditions, both physical and psychological.

In this diverse role, you will enjoy the flexibility and autonomy to manage your own day, with the support of a strong, close team of driven and energetic healthcare professionals. You will work collaboratively with injured workers, employers, medical and allied health professionals to develop and implement injury prevention and workplace education programs.

Your duties will include:

  • Case management, including initial, workplace, and vocational assessments to review diagnosis, support treatment plans, address psychosocial barriers to employment, and identify suitable employment opportunities for workers who have sustained workplace injuries or injuries sustained from motor vehicle accidents.
  • Applying your clinical knowledge to improve return to work outcomes, working with employers and employees to develop and implement injury prevention and workplace education programs.
  • Working across various schemes, including workers compensation, compulsory third party, life insurance, Comcare, Department of Veteran's Affairs, and employer-funded injury prevention programs.

Qualifications

You'll be a driven and energetic professional with the following qualities:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Nursing or Social Work.
  • Registration with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency AHPRA or membership with AASW.
  • Previous experience working in Occupational Rehabilitation industry would be highly regarded.
  • Fabulous communication skills, with the ability to get to know your clients and stakeholders.
  • Compassion and kindness, with empathy for those in need.
  • Well-developed time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage your workload effectively.
  • A current NSW Driver's License and access to own car with comprehensive insurance.
