Financial Policy Analyst Role

This is a challenging opportunity to work on financial management policy development, review and interpretation. The ideal candidate will have experience in analysing, interpreting and providing advice on financial management legislation and policy frameworks.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide strategic advice on financial management policy, regulation and reporting issues to stakeholders within the Department and across Government entities.
  • Develop and review financial management policy and legislation, ensuring it is well-informed and effective.
  • Collaborate with teams to provide guidance on specific issues, enabling the Branch to deliver authoritative and well-considered advice.

The successful candidate will be a motivated individual with excellent research and analytical skills, strong communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to work effectively in a small team.

Requirements:
  • Experience in financial management policy analysis and interpretation.
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
  • A desire to develop skills, experience and judgement in financial management policy.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
