Job Title: Mobile Engineering Lead

This is a high-impact leadership role where you will have the freedom to influence product direction, set best practices and embed mobile excellence in a growing business.

You will work across complex systems including mobile, backend and web while focusing on architecture and backend depth to support our mobile experience. As a technical leader, you will guide, mentor and upskill developers, and collaborate closely with product and business stakeholders, aligning deliverables to organisational objectives.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop the Flutter app and its integration with existing native iOS and Android apps.
  • Support native app development while providing ongoing maintenance, enhancements and support for existing systems and platforms.
  • Establish and enforce best practices for mobile development.
  • Mentor and coach mobile developers, improving their technical skills and team capability.
  • Work closely with Product and business stakeholders to design and implement solutions that align with our strategic goals.
  • Triage and manage mobile issues efficiently ensuring they are resolved promptly.
Requirements:
  • 5+ years of software development experience, with at least 3 years in mobile development.
  • Deep expertise in Flutter, with strong knowledge of native iOS or Android development.
  • Hands on experience with REST APIs and integrating backend services.
  • Proficiency with state management solutions like Riverpod.
  • A strategic and analytical mindset with the ability to anticipate challenges, architect resilient solutions and drive technical excellence.
  • Proven expertise in core mobile application design and development frameworks.
  • Tertiary qualifications in computer science are highly regarded.
