We are seeking a passionate and experienced Senior Women's Coach to lead our QFAW Division 2 North team in the 2025 season.
The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing training programs, providing clear feedback to players, and promoting a positive team culture based on respect, inclusivity, and sportsmanship.
- Leadership and Coaching:
- Develop and implement training programs that focus on skill development, fitness, and individual growth.
- Provide clear and constructive feedback to players, fostering improvement and confidence.
- Lead the team during match days, ensuring effective game-day strategies and player management.
Team Development:
- Work closely with junior coaches to align coaching philosophies and ensure a pathway for youth players to transition into the senior team.
- Foster a strong senior club culture by working with the Senior Men's program.
- Encourage player retention and recruitment by creating an engaging and supportive team environment.
Communication and Administration:
- Maintain open lines of communication with players, officials, and support staff.
- Attend club meetings, training sessions, and other events as required.
- Provide regular updates on team progress to the committee.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Minimum Level 1 AFL Coaching Accreditation (or willingness to obtain before the start of the season).
- A current Blue Card, or the ability to obtain one prior to the start of the season.
- A passion for women's AFL and sport.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to inspire, motivate, and develop players of varying skill levels.
Desirable Attributes:
- Previous coaching experience at a senior or high-level junior level, preferably in women's football is desirable but not crucial.
- Demonstrated success in player development and team performance improvement.
