Job Information:

  • We require a highly skilled Culinary Professional to prepare and cook high-quality baby and toddler food products in accordance with strict food safety standards and quality requirements.
  • The successful candidate will be responsible for examining orders, selecting ingredients, preparing and cooking food items, regulating temperatures, portioning and storing food, maintaining quality control, and assisting in planning menus.

Main Responsibilities:

  1. Orders Examination and Ingredient Selection: Selecting the right ingredients is crucial for preparing high-quality baby and toddler food products.
  2. Cooking and Food Preparation: Our team relies on skilled cooks like you to prepare a variety of delicious dishes that meet our quality standards.
  3. Temperature Regulation: Ensuring that all cooking equipment is at the correct temperature is essential for food safety.
  4. Food Portioning and Storage: You will be responsible for portioning food into containers and storing them in temperature-controlled facilities.
  5. Quality Control: Monitoring the quality of dishes at all stages of preparation and cooking is vital to our business.
  6. Menu Planning and Training: Collaborating with our team to plan menus and estimate food and labour costs is a key part of this role. Additionally, as an experienced cook, you will also be responsible for training new staff members.

Requirements:

  • AQF Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or equivalent qualification
  • At least three years of relevant work experience as a cook (in place of formal qualification)
  • 1 year of relevant full-time experience
